Tisha Van Pelt is a family medicine physician serving the Tampa, Florida area as part of BayCare Medical Group, where she sees patients age 18 and up. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, followed by her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Van Pelt continued her medical education by completing a family medicine residency at the University of South Florida Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency program in Clearwater, Florida. Dr. Van Pelt is well-trained in every area of medicine, including children, pregnant mothers, mature adults and anyone in-between. She strives to provide health care assistance to each and every one of her patients, by listening and making recommendations based on symptoms and health histories. She is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and advanced wilderness life support. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Society, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians in which she holds state and national leadership positions.
